Asthma by Anonymous I am a 24-year-old female, and I've had asthma for 15 years. Theophylline made my heart race and prednisone made me shake. Inhaled steroids gave me fungal infections in the mouth. But thanks to marihuana, my symptoms are generally under control. I turned to marihuana after using it recreationally for some time. It made it easier for me to breathe and, while coughing usually meant "grab the inhaler," after smoking marihuana and coughing, my lungs felt clearer and I was able to breathe. My peak flow is generally about 200-250. After using an inhaler it was around 300. With marihuana I blew a 400 on my peak flow meter. I can only hope that this drug is made available for medical use in Massachusetts soon, because it is really the only thing that works for me. |
