Migraine Headaches by Sharon

I have suffered from migraines off and on for about nine years now.  In the last two years they have been more frequent.  I also have chronic daily tension headaches.  Conventional treatment has been with Imitrex pills/shots, antidepressants, etc., all with side effects and just not very good for me in the long run.

About four--- months ago, I started obtaining marijuana for my personal use...illegally.  I was at the point where I didn't want our family's plans disrupted, and the pain became too hard to bear while I must work to pay bills.

Seven months ago I quit smoking cigarettes.  My hope was that the increase in oxygen, apart from all the other good reasons to quit, would decrease the amount of headaches I got. Not yet...but I must praise marijuana for what it has done for me and my family.  The hardest thing is hiding it from my kids. I do not know how to tell them that Mommy must break the law to feel better, be happier, and spend more time with them.

I wish I could say that marijuana eliminated my headaches, but it does not.  It does not prevent their recurrence, either.  However, most of the headaches I get can be relieved with marijuana completely.  Plus, I feel more active and am able to work around the house instead of lying in bed in the dark all afternoon..

Although I have only been using it for four months now, I feel my experience would greatly enhance any research in headache relief from marijuana and would be willing to answer your questions.

My hat's off to all of you working so hard.  I just don't have the words to describe how marijuana has improved my quality of life.
