Migraine Headaches by Tim

To start off I think this website is one of the best on the net.

My name is Tim and I am a 28 year-old male from a small town in Missouri.

I have suffered severe and frequent migraine headaches since I was a little kid. When Ii was 15 I had a brain tumor removed, and the doctors say that the tumor was and is the cause of my headaches.

I have been on so many medicines for the seizures and headaches over the years, Probably around 20 different meds-- Zoloft, Neuronntin, Imitrex, Depakote, etc. None of them have been successful and the few that were of a little help made me sick and want to vomit all the time.

When I was around 16 or maybe 17, a couple of doctors and therapists suggested I try smoking marijuana to get rid of my headaches.

So I started smoking and it works! When I feel a headache coming on I can smoke a couple of bowls or a joint and it makes the headache bearable. In some cases the pain totally goes away.  Sometimes it doesn’t but ALWAYS it makes me feel better, I can feel like doing things and being a productive person instead of staying in bed in the dark all the time.

As I am typing this I have a bad headache.  Things seem a little blurry and light bothers me.  but if I had some bud and smoked some, the pain would ease or go away, The stomach pain would get better and I would feel "normal".

In closing, I wish to thank everyone that has posted something on this site as well as the doctors that run the site.
